Good news from Kingston, Ontario-"...A proposal to develop an apartment building on the Rideau Marina site on the shores of the Cataraqui River (part of the Rideau Canal) has been rejected by the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal. According to the decision "...The proposal does not comply with the requirements of the Official Plan in terms of its impact on the Rideau Canal UNESCO World Heritage Designation and because of its incompatible scale and massing with the surrounding area."
