Parks Canada Mandate and Charter
The Mandate On behalf of the people of Canada, we protect and preserve nationally significant examples of Canada's natural and cultural heritage, and foster public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment in ways that ensure the ecological and commemorative integrity of these places for present and future generations.
Our Role We are guardians of the national parks, the national historic sites and the national marine conservation areas of Canada.
Our Commitment To protect as a first priority, the natural and cultural heritage of our special places and ensures that they remain healthy and whole.
(You should have been a gatekeeper--- Canadians have lost a National Historic Site and a park that honoured the memory of Canadian soldiers who liberated the Netherlands during World 11 - savecfbrockcliffe.)
The Farm will never be the same:
"...Why designate a site to be of historical significance if years later it is destroyed. And there is no question about this, it will be utterly destroyed. There is time to correct this decision. For our future and the future of generations to come." (Google: The Ottawa Hospital-Official Documentation - Friends of the Farm.)
