Stanley Park is untouchable.

Why is the Parks Canada Agency not protecting a 1,000 acre site in the heart of the nation's capital.

1.) The Laurier Avenue Bridge that spans the Rideau Canal.
2.) The Mackenzie King Bridge that spans the Rideau Canal.
3.) The Normal School on Elgin Street that is part of Ottawa City Hall.
4.) The home of Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald is owned by the British Embassy.
5.) The American Embassy owns part of Majors Hill Park. Majors Hill was a Parliament Hill property. The Americans would never let a foreign country build on the lawn of the White House or Lafayette Park.
