Former Members of Parliament John Baird and John Manley want the Lebreton Flats to be transformed into a National Park.
Lebreton is less than a mile from Parliament Hill and it could be designated an Historic Site.
There will be not be any "Private Property" and "No Trespassing" signs. Visitors from all over the world will be invited to visit the museums, view the statues and monuments, enjoy Canada Day celebrations and Bluesfest, walk on the grass and admire trees and flower gardens.
A Tree Preserve or Tree Sanctuary.
The Strawberry Fields Park in Central Park, New York City is a living memorial to John Lennon. 150 nations from around the world donated shrubs, trees, flowers and rocks to the Strawberry Fields Garden of Peace.

Also, the crabapple trees that Isabella Preston planted may have to be removed and Agriculture Canada employees were forced to dig up hedges near the evicted DARA Tennis Club. Abandoned Experimental Farm gardens and trees could be relocated to Lebreton.
