The People of Canada owned 57 million acres of land in 1999.

"The Government owns approximately 57 million acres of land, of which 46 million acres are held by Parks Canada...At this time, the company has identified approximately 18,000 acres of land which may be surplus to program requirements." (From: Canada Lands Company Ltd. Summary of Corporate Plan - 1999-2000 to 2003-2004.)
Who is encouraging Parks Canada to sell $8.3 billion dollars worth of infrastructure, including roads, nature trails, dams, culverts, bridges and highways?
In 1980 the Canadian National Railway, a federal Crown corporation, created a real estate subsidiary. (Google: [PDF]" Toronto Business Journal" July/August 1986.)
A 1980 Trudeau government inquiry determined that the CNR  held 100,000 acres of land. Which were denationalized.

The Corporation of Canada Ltd.---Who really owns my country
The government of Pierre Trudeau created the Foreign Investment Review Agency. Foreign ownership was restricted in key sectors of the Canadian economy, including the railway, commercial banking, radio, television, resource and other industries. The Trudeau government also nationalized potash companies in Saskatchewan.
The Mulroney government scrapped the agency and Prime Minister Mulroney famously said "Canada is open for business again."
1.) Fairmont Hotels and Resorts acquired the irreplaceable Canadian National Railway and Canadian Pacific Railway hotels and castles. They should be nationalized, not owned by foreign investors like American Carl Icahn and Saudi Arabian Prince al Waleed bin Talal. Who do not care about Canada's history or culture or sense of national pride and spirit. I never had enough money to buy a house, but I always felt a sense of pride whenever I walked past the Chateau Laurier or a Dominion Building or a Grand Trunk railway station, and I thought to myself "I own this property, and so did my ancestors. And if I ever have children, they will own this building too."
The CNR Hotels - Sold by CN Real Estate on March 31, 1988 for $260 million dollars cash and $5 million dollars in working capital to Canadian Pacific Limited.

1.)Chateau Laurier - Ottawa
2.)Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Montreal - where John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded "Give Peace a Chance".
3.)Jasper Park Lodge - Alberta.
4.)Bessborough Hotel - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
5.)Hotel Macdonald - Edmonton, Alberta.
6.)Hotel Vancouver - British Columbia.
7.)Fort Garry Hotel - Winnipeg, Manitoba.
8.)Nova Scotian - Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Scribe Hotel- Paris, France. Sold by the Government of Canada in 1995.

2.)Bill Gates and CN Rail
The Crown corporation Via Rail has to pay CN Rail to use railway tracks that were built by the CNR. And thousands of miles of tracks were decommissioned. Robber barons paid a bargain basement price for the CNR, which was created to unite this country, not to line the pockets of Wall Street investors and Bay Street investors.

3.)An American billionaire named Barry Diller wanted to buy all of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's communications infrastructure---608 transmission towers, 750 transmission sites and 2,500 CBC transmitters. Barry Diller is the creator of Fox News and a former CEO of Paramount Pictures.
