42 acres of the Farm are no longer a National Historic Site of Canada.

"Minister of Heritage Melanie Joly removed 42 acres of the designation National Historic Site" on December 2, 2016. (Google: "New Civic Hospital location-the story behind the story." by Greg Roger, Glebe Report, October 13, 2022.)

No wonder the Ottawa Hospital has free rein to chop down 700 trees and cut off public access to Maple Drive, Prince of Wales Drive and Birch Drive. No wonder the Observatory, barns, greenhouses and laboratories are being demolished.

Is it surprising that a botanical garden society wanted 108 acres of land east of Prince of Wales Drive, and that included the Arboretum, Fletcher Wildlife Garden, Ornamental Gardens and part of Commissioners Park. The botanical garden society is reviving their plan in the year 2022.

Is it surprising, that the City of Ottawa is removing large parcels of land from the Baseline Road boundary for public transit .The city is also removing land from homeowners, businesses and the Pinecrest Cemetery.
