An August 18, 1977 Ottawa Journal article. Two ginkgo trees are located between the DARA Tennis Club, which was evicted by the Civic Hospital, and the William Saunders Building. Birch Avenue will no longer exist. The ginkgo trees are one of the oldest tree specimens in the world, dating back to the era before dinosaurs roamed the earth.
