The Central Experimental Farm, Ottawa.

A timeline
1953 - June - The NCC considers moving the Farm out of its urban area("Ottawa Citizen 2007-12-31/150 years of memories-PressReader.")
1970's - The head of the NCC pressures Agriculture Canada to give 700 acres of the CEF to the NCC.
1988 - 91 acres are sold to the City of Ottawa.

1998 - National Capital Commission buys the Greenbelt Farm.
2008 - Civic Hospital wanted 60 acres of CEF property.
2016 - National Capital Commission permits the Civic to build a hospital on the CEF.
