     "In particular, back shore land use and development is expected to protect open space and ensure compatible activities with the historic character of the Canal."

A real estate corporation is planning to build housing on former CEF land:
     "The subject property faces east toward fields of the Central Experimental Farm that were originally part of the Booth Farm but integrated into the experimental farm in 1928.
