1.) "The Central Experimental Farm should remain an open area in perpetuity." (Cabinet Conclusions, March 19, 1954.) A copy of the Privy Council document is on one of my October 16, 2019 blogs - savecfbrockcliffe.
2.) The Farm is a National Historic Site of Canada and a National Interest Land Mass. NILM properties including the Greenbelt are supposed to be untouchable.
3.) Properties near Dow's Lake are not being zoned "Institutional". The designation "mixed-use" will pave the way for high rise condominiums.
4.) Residents of Little Italy will lose the popular "Queen Juliana Park." In 1976 the National Capital Commission convinced Public Works and Government Services Canada to preserve the 33.5 acre green space that surrounded the Sir John Carling Building.
5.) The National Capital Commission outlined the reasons why the Sir John Carling site is an inappropriate location for a hospital, see the report "NCC Site Review for the New Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital-2016" Page 68/256.
6.) More than 500 trees near Sir John Carling site will be chopped down according to former Ottawa Mayors Jacquelin Holzman and Jim Durrell. Their letter can be found in the report "NCC Site Review for the New Civic Hospital-2016" Page 215/256.
7.) The CEF was Number 4 on a list of "13 Amazing Gardens to Visit in 2018" by Katherine Fletcher, updated July 7th, 2019.
8.) The CEF was placed on the "2015 Top 10 Endangered List" by the National Trust for Canada.
9.) The following groups are opposed to the institutional and residential redevelopment of the CEF:

g.) Agricultural Institute of Canada.
h.) The National Farmers' Union-Ontario.
i.) Friends of the Farm.
j.) Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Association.

a.) Protection of the Central Experimental Farm as a research facility and a national historic site of Canada.
b.) Save Ottawa's Precious Urban Space - Change.org.
c.) City of Ottawa Planning Committee - Stop the rezoning of Parks to Condos, Queen Juliana in Little Italy.-Change.org.
d.) Stop the rezoning of Queen Juliana Park at 870 Carling Avenue - Change.org.
10.) The Farm may be designated a Cultural Heritage District by the Ontario provincial government.
11.) The Farm may be designated a World Heritage Site by the United Nations agency UNESCO. Part of the mandate of UNESCO is to save historic buildings and landscapes from destruction because of acts of war, weather events and inappropriate redevelopment.
